Come check out our students' posters in our entry.  We had a poster contest where students had to answer the question, "What does SOAR mean to me?"  Students' posters were creative and artistic.  Our poster contest winners are displayed in our entry.

We had a hard time selecting winners so we decided to hang up all the posters throughout the school.  Our students continue to SOAR to success daily!

October is month of respect

We will continue to focus our attention on respectful behaviors as part of SOAR (safe, outstanding learner, always respectful and responsible).  At the end of this month, teachers will nominate two students from each class who are a model for respectful behaviors.  These students will be invited to a "Principal's Treat."  I look forward to celebrating with these students. Florence Drake Falcons continue to SOAR to success!

Week of Respect

Last week we celebrated a week of respect.  Students focused on respectful behaviors.  We challenged students to earn 600 red falcon feathers which we created for our week of respect.  Students actually earned; 1690 red falcon feathers.  Way to go!  Students surpassed their goal and received a treat on Friday.  Teachers read the book, "The Most Beautiful Thing in the World," and each class created a world displaying respectful behaviors.  It was a great week and Falcons SOARed to success with respectful behaviors.  Thanks to Mrs. Breshears and Mrs. Moss who coordinated our Week of Respect activities.
